Can Someone Fake A Grand Mal Seizure

Disco: A Morning (2008)

Soloist: Luis Alberto Spinetta (Argentina)

Who am I to criticize the sound of one last piece of the geniuses of contemporary music? From a more optimistic outlook, against Luis Alberto Spinetta, myself is nothing but an ant counterfeit. Or perhaps worse yet: a protozoan moribund mire. And I can think of more drastic examples, but I think what I'm trying to say is well understood: I am nobody to Spinetta. However, I have to declare a bold impudent, as employ my humble pen to comment on a morning, interesting production shows that, to rock the good, sometimes it requires an advanced age and unquenchable fighting spirit.

a very general way, I can say that a week is confined within the jazzy features that Spinetta has been dyeing his last works. However, there are moments that are beyond the rule, for and achieve lofty peaks, which recognizes an unprecedented genius. Undoubtedly, this work is a further demonstration that this monster is still Spinetta super evolved that reigns in this world is amazing that the Argentine rock.

Bring on the details.

The album begins as a knock on the door: a battery strikes demanding close attention. It is the beggar, who does not show anything new in the recent universe Spinetta, but nor detracts from their accomplishments. While the background is a harmonious conflict between the piano and drums, the voice sings, in an intricate verbal development: "... your love was not predictable at last / when he left / and hid from your eyes / your eyes star / in the storm .... " Spinetta's lyrics leave no doubt: it is one of the most elaborate of the rock in English. Later, in a style that scatters elegance is not to say. With a steely guitar riffs excruciating, Spinetta release: "Although the sun will not mean that harbors have no more cold / And if the moon is covered does not mean you do not have their light / every day is the morning naked and your heart in a hurry .... " Spinetta The trend is to use features jazz to accompany his lyrics that are manufacturing high precision and resonance. Then the sun Hydra is in a close to what the Argentine musician employed in the 70's: with an acoustic guitar, voice trembling and debated among log variations, ranging from fine breaks, until just slightly hoarse. The lyrics sung: "Oh, my love / tell me when the sun burns / with my hands I'll breeze for no / oh, tell me whether I play or without the dreams of harmony does not occur ...." With traces of mounting tension, Man of Light is perhaps the most unique piece. It consists of a sound atmosphere that tries to recreate the vacuum of outer space. The voice sings, cold tone, "Man of light fly into space / show me the path to the sun / I want to be there / fly ..." Cool, huh? To close, the brushwork Spinetta jazz again, and drop a transparent letters, which falls into the realm of the erotic: "Your eyes wander sad / getting in the shadows / as the night shelter, love / I will go to your room / y in your sky I will meet / I'll miss your lips / to dream. " Is heard, then a Spinetta to celebrate with joy the pleasures of the flesh. And so lewd, puts an end to a week, his latest album.

Well, I can only ask you, dear reader / listener, if I was at the height of Spinetta. Of course I have no illusions. I'm happy to say that I embraced her ankle and, from my deep smallness, I noticed the gleam in the eyes of the giant, old, great Argentine musician who is set to the live shows that despite and precisely because of their nearly sixty years, the spirit of an older man can still flourish. And what a way!
