These last days of travel and return flights I started counting the departments that had already been. Then I began to discriminate and I was like limit count only those in which I have set foot. Ie rennet bag those who simply went through the car but I never got and, above all, those on which I flew to another side and that obviously never set foot.
I realized that I walked 14 departments. That number - 14 24 - not bad and then you could say that my personal map of Peru would be something like this:
is, I know quite Peru.
But ... Do we really know enough Peru? That is one thing to know a city and that ... gives me license to say that "know" the whole department. Restless for that question I decided to make a map of the provinces - and not departments - I stepped and I realized that I have not thought to have both Peru.
funny thing is that - at the same time greatly restingĂa trace of my passage through this country ... could also appreciate why I was lurking everywhere these 28 years.
So, as I had some free time and curiosity, I decided to show district maps of my life. Districts on ever put the arch of my foot. It took much time and memory (although what I took was to get this map with district divisions of the country) and here it is:
definitely know much less Peru than initially thought. Sure. When you say "I know 14 departments" think that this person is an avid traveler and has been everywhere and that the only place you need to know is the valley of Jehoshaphat. Quite the contrary. I know very little districts, most recently, Peru. And if you add that in each district to know as a town or two ... but making such a map is already sick, as if it were not all that I did until now. Anyway. So until districts and districts I'm staying.
worth remembering that if there is continuity between the districts is that, again, only count those who stepped (Not that rolled or flew) and that's why I could be in one without having to necessarily pass through each other (for which if passed, only that I got).
The good effect is that this map has become my guide and now ... every time you plant the foot in a new district is colorearé. The bad effect is that I was several hours less to live to go coloring maps without any practical sense.
I guess it must be almost impossible to color the whole map. I do not know if anyone will have been able to. But ... I can die quietly in the attempt.
Overall, I still have the rest of life ahead.
